Wedding FAQs

After 30 years in the business we know a few things, here are some of the most frequently asked questions about our wedding services.

Q: Where do I start? 

A: The best place to start is right here. Review our menus and after you are good and hungry fill out our Proposal Request Form


Q: Do you offer tasting?

A: Yes! After we have created an initial proposal we can schedule your wedding tasting for up to 4 people in our Wedding Tasting Room. Tastings are $25 each and include a large tasting menu depending on your menu style. 


Q: What is the difference between menu types? 

A: Menus are separated by types; Reception Menus (heavy hors d’oeuvers and appetizers) Dinner BuffetsPlated DinnersFamily Style Menusor Station MenusAs well as Passed or Stationary Appetizer MenusLate Night Snacks and Desserts.  


Q: Do you provide bar services? 

A: Yes!. We have several packages available; Premium BarHouse BarBeer and Wine Only Bar, we can also create Specialty Cocktails for your wedding. Depending on your venue selected we can also provide our Bar Mixer Package. You provide all the alcohol and we provide everything else (it’s a great value). Looking for non-alcoholic options, we can do that too, iced tea, lemonade, soda bars, coffee, plus we have specialty coffee, hot chocolate and iced tea bars. 


Q:  Can I deviate from the set menus and mix and match menu items?

A:  Absolutely!  You can customize your own menu based on our offerings and receive a custom price.  Even if there is something that you love that you don't see on our website, we are always up to trying new things!


Q:  Will Ladyfingers cut my cake?

A:  Yes, we will cut your cake for you and there is no cake cutting fee.  There is an additional fee for cake plates and forks. 


Q:  Is there special pricing for kids? 

A:  Yes!  Anyone under 4 is free and anyone 4-9 is half of the menu price.  Or, we can even prepare a separate meal for kids that includes chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, green beans, fruit salad and rolls for $8.95 per person.  Also, if you have a bar package with us, anyone under 21 is charged a separate soda package at $3.95 per person.


Q: Do you offer delivery only service? 

A: Yes we do, but warned handing hot food for 100 people can be challenging. Let’s chat about this if you are thinking delivery is your best option. 


Q:  What do you do with the leftovers?

A:  If there are leftovers, you are more than welcome to keep them as long as they are safe to give to you.  You do have to provide the containers.


Q:  What is the service charge?

A:  The service charge covers our set up, service and buffet equipment and dinnerware. Cost changes depending on type of dinnerware selected.  Disposables dinnerware (heavy duty plastic) is a 20% service charge. China dinnerware is a 25% service charge and includes everything for dinner service.  You can even provide disposable or china dinnerware yourself and the service charge would be 12%. The service charge percentage is applied to everything on your contract except for the facility fee (if there is one).  


Q:  What is the facility fee?

A:  The facility fee is charged to the caterer by your chosen venue. It is a percentage of your food and beverage only and we pay it directly to your venue. 


Q:  What does the $300 pick up fee mean?

A:  If your venue requires that the rental china be picked up the night of your event, then that fee is charged by the rental company to come back that night and pick it up.  


Q:  What time will Ladyfingers arrive on site the day of my event?

A:  Depending on the set up requirements of your event, we will arrive anywhere from one to three hours before your start time.  


Q:  Can Ladyfingers provide linens for my event?

A:  Yes, we are happy to provide your linens for you.  They are $16 per 120" round linen (for 60" tables), $16.25 per 90x132" linen (for 6' tables) and $17.25 per 90x156" linen (for 8' tables).  There are plenty of colors to choose from.  We also offer a 90x90" linen in black, white or ivory at no charge.  They can still fit your round tables, they just don't go all the way to the floor. 


Q:  What do I need to do to reserve Ladyfingers Catering?

A:  All we require to book us is a non-refundable deposit of $150 and a signed contract.  You can still make menu and guest count changes to your contract even after you sign.  You are only locking in your spot on your date.
