Weddings

Ladyfingers Catering is your go-to caterer for weddings, serving over 200 weddings per year. Our Wedding Coordinator is available to handle any and all questions about planning your perfect day, from set up, to service, to clean up.   Menus are separated by types: Reception menus (heavy hors d’oeuvres and appetizers), dinner buffets, plated dinners, family style menus or station menus. We also offer passed or stationary appetizer menus, late night snacks and desserts. 


We are partnered with Rent and Rave for all of your event rental needs, including china, flatware, linens, tables, chairs, etc.  Mention you are using Ladyfingers Catering to receive 10% off of your bill with Rent and Rave.

Our Wedding Coordinators help plan and execute weddings almost every weekend with as many as six in one day during the popular months. Having excellent leadership, delicious food and a reliable team makes Ladyfingers Catering the best choice for your next event.

 

We are here to make your wedding planning easier. Let’s start with menus, we have already put together tons of menu options to get your planning started. We can of course also create custom menus for any budget or theme. 


Menus are separated by types; Reception menus (heavy hors d’oeuvres and appetizers), dinner buffets, plated dinners, family style menus or station menus. As well as passed or stationary appetizer menus, late night snacks and desserts.  


Ladyfingers Catering can also provide bar and beverage services. We have several packages available; Bronze, Silver, Diamond and Gold and we can also create specialty cocktails for your wedding. Depending on your venue selected, we can also provide our bar mixer package where you provide all of the alcohol and we provide everything else (it’s a great value!). Looking for non-alcoholic options, we can do that too: iced tea, lemonade, soda bars, coffee, plus we have specialty coffee, hot chocolate and iced tea bars. 


Now to the big question, how does our pricing work? We price every menu item a la carte so that you can pick and choose items that best fit your budget. Beverage and bar services as well as dinnerware, rentals, staff and service charge are all additional fees. The best way to get a full price is to fill a Request for Proposal Form. But be sure to review our menu items first to get an idea of what items you would like priced.


After you complete a Request for Proposal, our Wedding Coordinator will reach out to discuss all of your wedding details. At this time, we can also schedule a wedding tasting or meeting in our tasting room.


Once you know you love us, we need to lock in your date with a deposit. From there we can still make any menu, guest count or detail changes, it just gets you on our books. After that, we ask for 50% payment 30 days prior to your wedding and final payment and guest count 10 days prior.

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about our wedding services.

Review our menus and after you have a good idea of what you would like, please fill out our Proposal Request Form.  This will give us everything we need to get a price quote started for you.  After we send you a quote and you have had time to review it, feel free to reach out and ask any questions you may have.

Yes, we will cut your cake for you and there is no cake cutting fee.  There is an additional fee for cake plates and forks.  

Not wanting a traditional wedding cake?  We offer many desserts including but not limited to assorted miniatures, cookies, dessert bars, brownies, cheesecake, fruit cobbler, bread pudding, dessert shots, cakes, tortes, etc.

Yes!  We can prepare a separate meal for kids that includes chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, green beans, fruit salad and rolls.  

If there are leftovers, you are more than welcome to keep them as long as they are safe to give to you.  You do have to provide the containers and our team will pack it all up for you. 

The service charge covers our set up, service and buffet equipment, such as chafers, server trays, buffet linens and decor, drink station items, etc. as well as disposable dinnerware including plates, silverware and napkins.  We will give you a discount if you provide your own disposable dinnerware or rent your own china.

The facility fee is charged to the caterer by your chosen venue. It is a percentage of your food and beverage only and we pay it directly to your venue.  

Depending on the set up requirements of your event, we will arrive anywhere from one to three hours before your start time.  

All we require to book us is a non-refundable deposit of $150 and a signed contract.  You can still make menu and guest count changes to your contract even after you sign.  You are only locking in your spot on your date.

Ladyfingers was absolutely incredible.  They were wonderful to work with throughout the entire process.  We ended up going with a buffet with a slider bar, mashed potato bar, and some other sides including the mini KY hotbrowns, the stuffed mushrooms, a Caesar salad, and bruschetta.  Everything was DELICIOUS!!! I was not expecting our food to be such a highlight of the wedding but we had many guests RAVE about the food!! They handle so many small things in addition to just the food as well.  They set up the buffet and decorated it based on our style, helped refill glasses and buss tables and they really helped the day run smoothly.  Cannot recommend them enough!!!!

We used Ladyfingers as our caterer at our May 2024 wedding at the Muhammad Ali Museum in Downtown Louisville, and it was a great decision.

I've been to over 30 nice weddings and over 100 nice formal meals, and without a double Ladyfingers is the best of the best.  Literally, everyone was raving about the meal and portion sizes after the wedding, so I was not alone in the great job that they did.  

In addition to Krista Rich, who was incredible and helpful throughout the entire process, the wait staff was great, and the bartenders were incredibly friendly.  There were no problems with anything, and from the food, service, and staff, it was a home run.  Ladyfingers came at the recommendation of our wonderful planner, Courtney Samuel Events.

Ladyfingers catered our wedding, and they did an amazing job!  The food was delicious, the servers were friendly and helpful, and the bartender did an amazing job.  Their decor was beautiful, and everything was handled smoothly.  We'd hire them again in a heartbeat!

Ladyfingers was wonderful!  I primarily worked with Krista leading up to the wedding day.  She was so easy to work with throughout the planning process for the wedding and very attentive to detail.  I was so impressed!

On the wedding day, the service and food Ladyfingers provided was incredible.  The wait staff was so kind and attentive.  The food was top-notch.  Would definitely recommend this company!

Absolutely phenomenal catering experience from every single employee we worked with for our wedding. The food was a huge hit and guests are still raving about it. The communication leading up to the wedding was excellent and each employee that we worked with made sure that we got everything that we asked for and more for our wedding.  Ladyfingers catered our recent wedding and they made catering for 200 people look easy! The staff were incredibly pleasant and professional.  They even took time to bring my husband and I appetizers back to our bridal suite to make sure we were able to enjoy some snacks during cocktail hour! The food was excellent all around. I highly recommend Ladyfingers without reservations!
